Chrome or Edge, one click, no app and no account. Works with Wahoo, Tacx, Elite, Zwift Hub and any FTMS trainer.

You can pair a Bluetooth smart trainer to a web page. Chrome and Edge have had Web Bluetooth for years. Gumwall Grand Prix uses it to read your power and to drive the resistance with the gradient, the same FTMS protocol every trainer app uses. There is nothing to install and no account to make. The whole thing takes about a minute the first time and ten seconds after that.
OPEN THE GAMENO SMART TRAINER?That is the entire process. The browser's device picker is the only permission prompt, and it is the same one a web page would use for a heart rate strap or a keyboard.
| Pod | Where it comes from | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| POWER | Trainer, FTMS Indoor Bike Data | Your watts, straight from the trainer's strain gauge or estimate |
| CADENCE | Trainer or a cadence sensor | Pedal revolutions per minute |
| SPEED | Calculated by the game | Speed on the virtual road from your watts, the gradient and drag, not the trainer's flywheel speed |
| HEART RATE | A Bluetooth strap, paired separately | Beats per minute |
Still stuck? The REPORT A BUG button at the bottom of every page goes straight to Austin, and a trainer model name helps.
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS and Android. They ship Web Bluetooth. Safari, Firefox and every browser on iPhone and iPad do not, so those devices cannot pair live sensors from a web page. On iOS the free Bluefy browser adds Web Bluetooth and works.
No. There is no app, no driver and no account. The browser asks for permission once per device and remembers it for the tab.
Any trainer that speaks Bluetooth FTMS, which is nearly every smart trainer sold since about 2018: Wahoo KICKR and KICKR Core, Zwift Hub, Tacx Neo and Flux, Elite Direto, Suito and Justo, Saris H3, JetBlack and others. If Zwift sees it as a controllable trainer over Bluetooth, it will pair here.
Nine times in ten another app is holding the connection. Quit Zwift, the Wahoo app, the Tacx app or whatever paired last, power-cycle the trainer, and try again. On Windows, make sure Bluetooth is on in system settings. On Linux, Chrome needs the experimental Web Platform features flag turned on.
Yes. The game writes the road grade to the trainer over the FTMS control point, so climbs get harder and descents get easier. A trainer difficulty setting in the BIKE tab scales it.
Yes. Pair a Bluetooth speed sensor instead of a trainer, pick your trainer's resistance curve, and the game estimates power from wheel speed. The no-smart-trainer guide covers it.
Android phones in Chrome, yes, including pairing. iPhones can ride demo mode with touch controls but cannot pair sensors in Safari.
