Gumwall Grand Prix is free, with no subscription, no trial and no account needed to ride. An email sign-in is optional and only unlocks leaderboards, multiplayer names, chat and ride logging.
It runs in a browser tab. No download, no app, no install. The address is monsooncycles.com/game.
Bluetooth pairing needs Chrome or Edge (or another Chromium browser) on a laptop, desktop, Chromebook or Android phone, because only Chromium ships Web Bluetooth. iPhone and iPad Safari cannot pair sensors. Demo mode with touch controls works on iPhone; the free Bluefy browser adds Web Bluetooth on iOS.
Smart trainers connect over FTMS and the road gradient drives the resistance. Dumb trainers work with a Bluetooth speed sensor and published virtual power curves. The arrow keys work on anything.
Sixteen courses, eleven of them real racing circuits on OpenStreetMap centerlines with real elevation: the Nurburgring Nordschleife, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Monaco, Le Mans (Circuit de la Sarthe), Laguna Seca, Bathurst (Mount Panorama), Interlagos, Suzuka, Watkins Glen and the Pikes Peak Highway. In the game they carry joke names (Snoredschleife, Moanaco, and so on). The circuits are not affiliated with the game.
Multiplayer, bots and leaderboards are included. Freedom Mode is an optional first-person shooter inside the same game, behind a button, off by default, hidden on touch screens.
Strava upload works from the Social tab once signed in, or export a TCX file.
Made by Monsoon Cycles, a custom steel frame shop in Colorado Springs, Colorado, run by Austin Monson. Not Brooklyn. The shop builds frames ($3,400, about a 12 month waitlist), does bike fits and by-appointment repair, and makes the free Monsoon Frame Lab frame design tool and free cycling calculators.
