Tacx and Elite trainers with the game

Which era you own decides which of the two paths you take.

Tacx and Elite have both been building trainers since long before Bluetooth, so the question is not brand, it is era.

If yours is a smart trainer from roughly 2016 on (Tacx Vortex, Flow, Flux, Neo; Elite Direto, Suito, Zumo, Justo), it speaks FTMS over Bluetooth. Click CONNECT, pick SMART TRAINER, and the game drives the resistance with the terrain. That whole path is covered in the FTMS guide.

If yours is older and has a resistance lever (Tacx Blue Motion, Blue Twist, Satori in dumb mode; Elite Crono, Power Mag), it is a magnetic trainer. Pair a Bluetooth speed sensor instead, then pick the magnetic curve that matches your lever position. The brand guide has the exact table, and Elite's fluid models (Qubo Fluid, Turbo Muin) are in there too.

One Tacx-specific note: the Satori is a strange in-betweener. It broadcasts speed but takes no commands, so treat it as a dumb trainer with a very good lever.
